Boston Bookclub

Because we like to write a lot of emails, because we have trouble reaching a consensus, because we're busy people, and, most importantly, because we all have fascinating insights into literature... we are making this space the space where we do all things 'book club.'

The 8th works for me too. Hope the finish the book over the Thanksgiving Day weekend. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

The 8th would work fine for me. I'm almost done. As for the place, there are few culinary themes 1) a good chunk set in scottland (yucky food I'd sayl), 2) dad's vacation to greece (yum) 3) one brother is a french chef (also yum) 4) general new yorkness (soho again?)
The 8th would work better for me- I will be out of town on the 15th. I've started the book- so far I really like it! And I promise I will actually finish it this time. :)

8th and the 15th were the days I was thinking of! (Note, the 5th and the 12th are the first two Mondays in January...this is what happens when you work at a company that has a Jan. 31 year end and they print their calendars with January as the last month of the year.) Sorry for the confusion.

I have started the book. My vote for meeting would be after Thanksgiving, but on the earlier side in December. I know for me the closer it gets to Christmas the crazier I am going to be. Dec 5th and Dec 12th are Mondays (that seems to be the best night). Anyone any thoughts on those days?

Has anyone started the book? I am on "hold" at the library for it, but wanted to know if people had started it.
Do we know when we want to meet?
