Boston Bookclub

Because we like to write a lot of emails, because we have trouble reaching a consensus, because we're busy people, and, most importantly, because we all have fascinating insights into literature... we are making this space the space where we do all things 'book club.'

Solas works great for me. And I'll do my best to get there by 6:30. See you guys then.
6:30 is tight for me, too, but I'll do my best. Not that you could tell the difference between me just being late and being held up at work. Subtle distinction, but it's there. Sola's it is then?
Solas works for me. Can make no promises to make it for 6:30 though. As usual, the time is going to be very tight for me to get there coming in from Framingham. Will do my best, but do not be surprised if I am on the later side.

I'm down with Solas if that is consensus...
Not trying to monkey with aforementioned consensus, but I could point out that a good portion takes place also in Vietnam, so we could do Pho Lemongrass (or Pho anything, really - Vietnamese everywhere!).
I still personally liked the Bugaboo Creek idea solely for the talking moose head :) (j/k!)

6.30 pm is good for me!

I like the pub idea and all the ones Erin threw out are good ones. The old Sam Adams is now called 'Solas.' I've been there a few times and it's really good and the food looks awesome. Another pub is MJ O'Connors over by Maggiano's in Park Plaza. There's also that new, new place Mc Fadden's in the Fanueil Hall area, that's very cool and it serves food. Just a couple of ideas. I'm almost finished with the book too!
Where to go, where to go? Does anyone have a suggestion for Monday night. I know that this book is a little light on location (unless there is a cabin restaurant somewhere). To me the book said low-key, fireplace, maybe pubby? So, here are a few thoughts I/others had/discussed.
1. Greenbriar-Its pubby, good food and I think the is a fireplace. And the is a lot of "Green" in the woods.
2. Bugaboo Creek-Talking animals to bring back that cabin feeling. Think there might even be a fireplace.
3. The former Sam Adams Pub on Boylston (Not sure what it is called now)-Wanted to check it out sometime.
4. Forest Cafe-The book takes place in a forest.....
5. A cosy pub yet to be mentioned....
