Boston Bookclub

Because we like to write a lot of emails, because we have trouble reaching a consensus, because we're busy people, and, most importantly, because we all have fascinating insights into literature... we are making this space the space where we do all things 'book club.'

okay back bay it is. See you all then!
see you there at 7:30!
Just called and made a reservation at Back Bay Social Club for 730 for 8 people. We are all set there. You're right Cat! Don't trust, Opentable.com :)
Hi, I just made reservations at Rustic Kitchen for 8 people for 7.30, before I saw all this discussion. I can cancel if needed - let's try to decide asap.
Ok, I'll try to call around 11am and make a reservation for 7 at 7. Does that time work for everyone?
You can often get a reservation by calling even when Open Table says they don't have availability. I've done it many times.
According to Open Table for the Back Bay Social Club, there is no availability for parties above 4 people tonight, or at all for 8 weeks. But, maybe if we call later when they're open we'll have better luck?
Should we come up with a backup? Just as an FYI: Rustic Kitchen does have availability at 715/645 for a party of 6.
Back Bay Social Club, right? What time?

Ok, Duh, I'm an idiot (don't laugh everyone! ) I didn't realize Rustic Kitchen was pretty much on the street I work on, so either one is fine for me, though like Kathy said, Rustic Kitchen seems to be the consensus.
I am also doing the list and will bring it tomorrow.
I am going to be T-ing it as well, so I think that the Back Bay Social Club might be better for me in terms of where we'll be.
Hmm....I am leaning towards Back Bay Social Club, but that seems like I might be in the minority. I've eaten at Rustic Kitchen and it was good, so I will not be disappointed there. What time are we thinking? I am currently driving the truck and there is No Way I am trying to park it downtown, so I am going to have to go home and hop the T. Just FYI. :)

hello ladies,

I'm game for either - Rustic Kitchen has really good food and is spacious so I am leaning to that one...also it's close to home for me. But am fine with either.

Sara

Anyone else want to weigh in on the restaurant? Looks like a tie between Rustic Kitchen and BBSC at this point....

Count me in. Haven't been to any of the places mentioned, but the menu at Rustic Kitchen looked the best to me. Open to anything though :)
I am in....all the options sound good. Game to go where ever makes the most sence for people.
Maggee wanted me to post for her... she said Back Bay Social Club or Rustic Kitchen are fine with her.
I've heard good things about Back Bay Social Club but am open to whatever everyone wants to do!
Hi Ladies - Where do we want to eat on Tuesday? The only things I could come up remotely rela tedto the book were Rendezvous in Central Sq, which can be fun, or the Back Bay Social Club, which I know nothing about. I think Rustic Kitchen takes groups, and I'll fess up that it just happens to be close to where I work. Any other ideas?

I can do either day and am looking forward to it!
